What is no-label-look?
No-label-look labels are printed, transparent self-adhesive labels. Invisible, transparent labels are contemporary, high quality and free to design. The crystal clear film is used for labels to give the impression that the information is printed directly on the product packaging. In addition to the transparent polypropylene film (PP film), the adhesive of the film must also be completely clear. Would you like to order the transparent PP material with no-label look? Then select PP film transparent 50 μm (PET transparent carrier) in the calculator.
Note: Matte protective lacquer or matte foil laminatation, make the label less bright! So for optimal protection of your no-label-look labels, choose protective lacquer gloss or foil laminate gloss. Another tip: Labels with a no-label-look are best applied by machine to avoid air bubbles and structure formation of the adhesive.
Foil label on paper backing
At unieketiket.nl you can also order the transparent PP film with a paper backing (PP film transparent 60 μm (paper backing). This version is less clear because the adhesive of this material is not completely transparent, but visible as a slightly milky layer. Thus, this film does not have a no-label look. Would you like to order the transparent PP material with paper carrier material? Then select PP film transparent 60 μm (paper carrier material) in the calculator.

Here again the two options at a glance:
Transparent PP film on PET film
- + no-label-look
- + faster machine labeling
- – Cannot be processed by every labeling system.
- + fully transparent
- + combine with foil embossing
- + very suitable for sandwich printing

Transparent PP film on paper

- + Can be processed by any labeling system.

Deck white
Dekwit is white ink printed under the colors of the label design in the digital printing process. This prevents the color print from showing through on transparent labels. In fact, digital printing requires a white background, which is not a problem with most materials because they are “inherently” white. With transparent materials, the white background must therefore be printed. For black printing (formatted as CMYK 0/0/0/100), by the way, this does not apply. That can be printed directly on transparent material, without cover white!
If you choose transparent labels and use colors in your label design, the following is important:
- Take care of the layout of dekwit in the print file: Dekwit must be laid out in the print file, see in our delivery instructions – under ‘Dekwit‘.
- Deck white must also be ordered with the order (the option appears automatically when transparent material is chosen in our online calculator).
