What are self-adhesive labels on rolls?

Printed self-adhesive labels on a roll are – the name says it all – labels with an adhesive layer that come with your own printing, on a roll. This means that you can apply the printed labels on a roll directly to your product either by machine or manually. During the ordering process, you can specify how the labels will be applied: by machine or manually. We can supply your rolls with any winding direction required.

In the case of machine processing, specify when ordering, with which roll configuration we should produce the labels, so that the rolls can be applied with your labeling machine. For the roll core diameter, we offer several options: 76 mm (standard), 40 mm and 25 mm.

Self-adhesive labels are often also called stickers, self-adhesive roll labels, roll labels, or labels on rolls. Whether you call them self-adhesive labels or adhesive labels, you can come to us for custom printing, finishing and delivery!

Where and how are self-adhesive roll labels used?

Self-adhesive labels are universally applicable. In particular, they are used for labeling bottles, jars, cans, packaging and other containers in a wide variety of industries, such as the food, chemical, beverage and cosmetics industries. These printed labels are as flexible as the product to which they are applied: Self-adhesive labels can be used (almost) anywhere.

Further processing of self-adhesive labels on rolls depends on the conditions of the respective product. The printed self-adhesive labels on roll – roll labels for short – allow both machine processing and manual application. As a label manufacturer, we ensure that your roll labels are produced with the correct roll winding. And if you need your labels urgently, we can produce your self-adhesive roll labels within 24 or 48 hours with our express production.

We print in the highest digital quality, no inkjet or flexo printing, and we can also embellish your self-adhesive labels with a beautiful finish.

Finishing – add value to your labels

We will add refinements to your self-adhesive labels according to your requirements. You can choose a protective varnish or a film lamination to extend the life of the labels. Protective varnish covers the label like a coating, preventing premature wear and fading of the colors of your labels.
With film lamination, we apply a special protective laminate like film to the labels. You can choose from glossy or matte.

We can also apply striking accents to your labels, such as hot foil stamping in gold, silver and many other colors. Self-adhesive roll labels with hot foil stamping have a particularly attractive appearance with their gloss and color intensity. In what forms can labels be made?

When it comes to printing and finishing self-adhesive labels, there are almost no limits to your imagination. Self-adhesive roll labels are available in (almost) every conceivable shape and size. In addition to standard shapes such as square, round or oval, you can design your own individual custom shape.

What colors can roll labels be printed with?

Whether you opt for black printing, multi-color labels, four-color printing (CMYK) or want to have special (Pantone®) colors simulated, at unieketiket.nl you have a free choice. We can also work with special colors to simulate colors on request. Read more about the differences between CMYK and RGB.

When printing, we work with the color spectrum Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black, CMYK for short. If you order labels on transparent, silver or dark material, you can also choose “opaque white”. You can also order ‘double print black’ and ‘double print white’ on request, for a more intense black or better covering white. Pantone® colors of type C (for coated/coated material) and type U (for matte material) can be simulated by us with CMYK printing.
In addition, depending on the color hue, it is possible to order additional special colors, namely orange, violet and green in order to approximate a desired specific color as closely as possible. Please note that there is usually no perfect match to be made and not all colors can be simulated in digital printing (for example: metallic shades or neon colors). If you want to do without color altogether, we can of course produce blank labels for you.

Our materials and films

uniektetiket.nl has different materials available. Self-adhesive labels on rolls can be made of paper or film. Our customers can select from the papers and films in our free sample book.

At unieketiket.nl, you can also order adhesive labels on sheets. Especially for small runs, it can be worthwhile to print on a sheet instead of a roll. Printed stickers on sheets are suitable for manual application; they can easily be removed from the sheet and applied directly to the product. Labels on sheets are not suitable for machine processing and also special finishes such as hot foil stamping or spot varnishing are not possible on sheets.
