What is a closure seal?

Seals, the name says it all, seal your product. When the package is opened, the seal tears. Or vice versa: as long as the seal is intact, the freshness of the product is guaranteed, at least until the expiration date. For this reason, as a synonym for this type of label, the terms freshness seal, seal label or guarantee seal are also used.

Seal labels are often merged with the “main label” and the lid label. The seal then consists of a connecting strip between the two other labels. This strip guarantees freshness and quality: if intact, it guarantees that the package has not been opened. If the seal is torn, the product can no longer be guaranteed to be in perfect condition.

Sealing seals are used wherever freshness and sealed packaging are a top priority. For example, in food packaging made of glass, such as jam jars or honey jars. But a seal label can also be applied to other forms of packaging: Whether on beverage bottles, cans or jars – the seal always guarantees freshness and quality for your customers. What label material is suitable for sealing?

Paper is usually used for food labels. But a seal can basically be made of any material. The important thing is that the label material is not too strong, so that the user can open the package with not too much effort and the seal will tear. For example, if a jar of honey is to be sealed, a label made of paper is appropriate. Determine shape and size of your stickers

Round, rectangular or in a freely designed shape, there are no limits to your creativity when designing your sealing label. In addition to choosing shape and material, you can also choose from a wide range of finishes, such as digital spot varnish and or a protective varnish, when designing your sealing labels. Because, of course, your label should not only seal the product, but also leave a lasting visual impression and fully convince customers at the point of sale.
