What are blank labels?
Blank stickers or labels are unprinted self-adhesive labels in rolls or sheets, and can be used for a variety of applications. To name a few: to print with a thermal printer or to write on by hand.
What are unprinted labels used for?
Blank labels are used wherever non-uniform products need to be labeled. These can be goods such as food products with different weights and prices. They can also be handwritten or printed with a special printer. Blank labels are produced as self-adhesive labels.
What are the advantages of blank labels?
The main advantage of blank labels is that you have the option of printing them individually. Especially in food production and packaging, unprinted labels are widely used. The labels can be printed with variable weights and prices, for example, for fruit, vegetables or meat products. They are also used in archives and libraries for marking media with different bar codes. They can also be written on manually. In general, blank labels on rolls are used when uniform labeling is not possible.

How are unprinted labels on rolls processed?
Blank labels on rolls can also be applied mechanically or manually just like other labels. Depending on the material, the labels can be printed with different printers or manually. If the labels will be printed with a special printer, check with your printer supplier what roll configuration and size roll core should be used.
What material can blank labels be made of?
Blank labels can be supplied on paper or (PP or PE) film for use in special printers. Order our free sample book to get a good overview of the possibilities of the materials we offer. The samples in the book can also be tested to ensure that the right material has been chosen for the application. If you need a specific material for your labels, our customer service team will be happy to advise you.
Blank stickers for thermal printing techniques
At unieketiket.nl you also have the possibility to order labels made of special material suitable for thermal printers. A thermal direct printer works with a heated print head that prints directly, without an ink ribbon, on the paper. The label material for this must be a special heat-sensitive paper: in our calculator this material can be found as ‘thermal-direct printing paper 70g’. A thermal transfer printer works with heat in combination with an ink ribbon. The label material for this must have a smooth surface. So materials such as coated paper or plastic materials (PP or PE) with a varnish qualify. Our glossy paper 80g, matte paper 90g and PP glossy white are great examples. These materials can be selected in our calculator.
In what forms are blank labels available?
As with printed labels, the variety of shapes is almost unlimited. In addition to the standard shapes square, oval and round, custom shapes are also possible. Questions? You can reach us by phone at (+31) (0)30 808 05 97 or by email: info@unieketiket.nl.
