Individually printed labels with bar codes
At unieketiket.nl we can print your barcodes and QR codes on rolls or sheets, as individual barcodes or integrated into your label design. For your labels with barcodes we have a wide range of papers and foils, and various adhesives with different properties – permanently adhesive, easily removable, wash-off or suitable for freezing.
We can also produce a series of barcode labels with continuous numbering, either as individual stickers, or as part of your product label. In this case, you can provide us with a table with the barcode number sequence to be printed and any associated text. Barcode labels, whether with EAN 13, Code 128, Code 39 or QR codes, are no problem for us thanks to digital printing.
What is a barcode?
A barcode is a machine-readable collection of data. Typically, barcodes are used to describe the details of your product. If a barcode is not printed correctly, it cannot be scanned automatically. This can lead to problems and high costs for retailers. So an ideal barcode label is one that displays the data correctly, is printed in the correct size and shape, and can be machine-read without problems!
Different types of bar codes:
- GTIN
- EAN 13
- EAN 5
- GS1-128
- QR code
- Pressecode
- GS1 Datamatrix
When do I need barcodes?
If you sell your products through retailers, you need barcodes on your labels. Meanwhile, however, many online retailers also require products to have unique barcodes.
Simply put, a barcode is the visual representation of a unique numeric commercial code. To order a barcode label, you must provide us with your unique commercial code. We can then easily create your barcodes and print them on your labels. You will need a GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) from GS1 Netherlands. The GTIN consists of a base number, an individual number and a check digit. New companies can sign up for their retail barcodes here: www.gs1.nl/.

Can barcode stickers also be printed in color?
Printing barcodes in color or white is possible, but we recommend choosing the classic black barcode, because barcodes require high contrast to make them easily readable. A black barcode on a white background is the most proven combination. In general, the background color of the barcode should be very light but not metallic reflective, and the bars should be dark and contrast with the selected background. Also be sure to place light areas around the barcode and maintain a safety margin of at least 8 mm from the edge.
