Q and A: Can you make my label in any shape?

At unieketiket.nl you have complete freedom of design for your label. In addition to any size, your own design and text, you can also completely determine the shape of your labels. You can of course choose a rectangular or round label. But also your own shape – we call that “custom shape”– is possible. But when exactly is a shape a custom shape?

Anything that deviates from the classic round or square/rectangular shape is considered a custom shape. Examples include cutouts, curves, notches, a tamper proof label, a label with a ribbed edge, alternating labels or figurative shapes.

• But please note that rectangular labels with rounded corners are also custom shapes in our definition.
• To be precise, if the corner radius of a rectangle is greater than 0.5mm, the label is considered a custom shape and must be specified as such when ordering online.

It is good to know that unieketiket.nl always produces rectangles with a corner radius of 0.5mm. A smaller corner radius is not possible because we always cut out (or punch out) the labels on rolls and then cannot remove the material surrounding the label.

By the way, with our sheets we do not remove the surrounding material. Nevertheless, even then we ask that the corners be made no sharper than 0.5mm, because sharper corners or points will make cutting out with the laser punching machine more difficult and will therefore give a less attractive result.
