Who are you and what makes you so special?

Hi, I’m Denise. I would describe myself as quiet and thoughtful, someone who needs some time to get comfortable in new situations. I like to listen and always take time for others. It is important to me to be respectful and friendly with people, and if I am enthusiastic about something, I go all the way. Even if things are a little chaotic at times, I know how to keep an overview. And yes, I am sometimes a few minutes late, but you can always count on me. In my free time I like to stay active, for example with tennis, beach volleyball and, when possible, wakeboarding. I enjoy learning new things and value personal development, but I also like my routines and habits because they give me structure and something to hold on to.

What has your professional career looked like so far?

A few months after completing my education, I decided to go to New Zealand for a year. That was an incredibly beautiful and educational experience. In 2018 I returned to Germany with new friendships and fresh ideas, and soon after started a new job. In the summer of 2020, I joined uniqueetiket.com and have been part of the team ever since.

How did you end up at unieketiket.nl?

The company had always been well known locally and was well known as an employer. Looking for a new challenge, I sent an open application. It didn’t work out at first, but when the right position became available, uniqueetiket.com contacted me and I was extremely happy to start in Customer Service.

What is your role at unieketiket.nl and what does your day look like?

Since October 2023, I have been responsible for HR matters at unieketiket.nl, following an internal promotion. Where I used to advise customers in Customer Service, I am now the point of contact for colleagues on important and sensitive issues. I conduct job interviews, see to the induction of new colleagues, process the monthly payroll and arrange everything around it. No day is the same and I am constantly learning. Unieketiket.nl supports my development so that I always stay up-to-date.

What is special to you about your work?

I have always been good with people and can easily empathize with different situations. That instinct is really a great advantage in my work, because trust is the basis of my role. Everyone is different and that variety is exactly what makes my work so interesting and fun.

The atmosphere in the workplace is great, everyone is friendly and it really feels like a family. Even though it’s work, it often doesn’t feel like that at all. There is respect, lots of laughter and there is always someone to bring something sweet.

What was or is your highlight so far at uniqueetiket.co.uk?

It’s hard to pick just one moment. For me, the whole package is a highlight. Unieketiket.nl really makes employees feel appreciated and comfortable, with all kinds of extra benefits. Annual events like the summer party and Christmas celebration are absolute highlights where everyone comes together to celebrate and have fun.
